Dad & Mom
My week with my Family was AWESOME, despite the few fights, injuries, night games, food, all our day excursions, the wind, did I say food, movies, family pictures (there are 34 of us), Family Olympics, town car rally, and I am pretty sure I missed the food!! It was all a whirl wind and I cried the day that I had to leave. I LOVE my FAMILY!!!

This is the WHOLE GANG!!
Robbie, Tod , James, Bert, Heidi , Mykal, Ryan, Dallin
Kim, Jackson, Melinda, Elizabth, Tonya, Tom, Kendra, Aspen, Oakly, Chad, Maria, Amberly
Emma, Thomas, Sydnie, Jane
Dad, Mom, Cole

this is the "THOMSON GANG" and you better watch out. When we are all together we can cause some TROUBLE!!
If you can put all the family's together your good 'cuz I still get my brother's names mixed up and a few of the nieces and nephews. I think it's a mother thing we call our own kids by the wrong names sometimes why not other people too?
Thanks for putting up with all of us for a week Dad and Mom. xoxoxoxo

Soccer-Birthday

It has been a very good season for soccer. Oakly and Aspen's teams made it to the League Playoffs - won and know Oakly's team is off to Edson for Provincials. Aspen's team made it to Provincials but opted out of participating do to girls going on holiday's. This is what kept our June nights very busy, we were running the kids to soccer twice a week and sometimes 3 times. Then just to mix it up a bit we had Avery's "Toss Ball" games and practices on Tuesday nights. Avery had fun learning about ball and discovered that she could throw really well, it's her batting that we need to work on. I am hoping she has Tod's hand eye coordination. I didn't get along with the ball and bat so well, so I really disliked playing the sport. Way to go kids it was a very fast month with all that running. In the midst of it all Oakly turned 14!
Yay! we have another potential driver. He took his learners test on the 8th and didn't get it, discouraged he took it again the following week and again didn't pass. That was the end of that until his finals were done then he walked up to the registrars office and took his test. When I came home from work that Thursday afternoon he had the biggest smile on his face and was ready to go for a drive. We had hair cuts that night so Tod met us and Oakly drove home from Leduc.
That brought us to Friday, last day of classes and work Yipee!! Summer is here!! We were all in anticipation of leaving on Saturday for G & G Thomson's House to see the rest of our family. All 34 of us and it was long over do. Before we could get ready for the big day we had a surprise birthday party we had been waiting to do for Oakly.
Between 6-7pm the kids started to arrive and we had 25-30 kids and the rain came down. I was not sure my house was going to survive, but despite the rain the kids were outside playing. It was a great night. Thanks to Jenn, Kaylyn, and Emily for helping to plan the party.
Oakly with a little birthday cake smoosh!! They caught you!

Camp Warwa

It has been way to long since our last family blog. I am just going to say that it has been very busy and no time to play around on the computer. The only time on here has been to check emails and get a few projects done. So now that it is summer and I have a little more free time on my hands, (I did say a little) I want to get you all caught up on the on goings of the family.

It was the first week of June that I had the great opportunity to go to Camp Warwa with Aspen's grd 6 class. We left on a Tuesday and returned on the Friday. It was an action packed 4 days with lots of eye opening experiences for most of the kids. Our activities involved: Vertical Playground, Rock Wall, Zip line, kayaking, canoing, tandem canoing, field games(survival & stones), archery, low ropes, camp fires, meals family style, and so much laughter. I was lucky enough to have 3 girls in my group: Aspen, Sierra, & Laila. We were in our own room and I was lucky if the girls would shut their eyes by 12:30, they were so chatty about the days events that I would have to remind them that lights out was actually at 11. They never complained about the 8am wake up calls, which I am sure if they were at home it would have been an argument. They were up and ready to go waiting the anticipation of the days events. It was a great time had by all and I am so grateful that I go to experience this trip with Aspen. If I could share all 1200 pictures with everybody I would, but here are a few of Aspen and myself with Sierra and Laila.
