A Great Party

We had a great day and the girls and lucky Ansen (the only boy) played well together. We hid the gifts and played hot-cold to find them. Avery had to search the yard and when she found a gift that person would stand by her to open it and there was no fighting over who was were and if anybody opened any gifts it was great. The bags were a huge success. The kids including Ansen carried the bags around their necks for the whole afternoon. Thanks for all your help, from the people who love me and my sanity! :) It was a Fun Day!! Tomorrow we are off to go camping will be updating next week.

Avery's 6 Birthday Party

Avery's party!!

My baby is turning 6 on Thursday, but her party is today. I wasn't ready for this day to come, because I wasn't sure that I wanted my baby to turn 6. I still don't have a call back for my job and am not sure of all the free time I will have on my hands. I could get a lot of painting done at home, but will I be that motivated to do it.
Tomorrow after noon we are leaving for the long weekend and our last camping trip of the year, not to mention the 2nd camping trip of the year. We haven't been out and I am looking forward to going although we are not looking at the best weather, we will have fun.
Have to pack the trailer this morning and then entertain 12 kids for the party this afternoon. Wish me Luck!!

Lobster Feast

Bobcat madness

We are pulling out the roots to the trees that we chopped down on the front boulevard. Grampa Pharis is playing in the Bobcat. Tod wanted him to show him how to use the cat, but once he got in he didn't get out. After Oakly's football game (they won) we all came home and had to pick out the smaller roots and clean up the dirt.

We are a very competitive family so in order for us to all keep up we all must have our own Boo Boo's.
Aspen took a turn on the blacktop that still had some gravel around it and well the out come was not pretty. She skinned her arm and her elbow. She was at Ofstie's playing and on a typical night her and Pacey just ride bikes around the block, well on this typical night the blacktop was not forgiving. The neighbors found her and cleaned her up and bandaged it with what they had, until dad could look at. It does look very gross and when she bends it it really hurts. We sent her to bed although she was not wanting to go, she fell asleep with no problem.
This morning she woke up and it had started to crust over. All is well and she will make a fast recovery.








Tonight is our yard and family Lobster Feast. YUMMY!! Tod and Grampa went in to the city and got 21 live lobster's ranging from 2lbs-4lbs. We are going to have some Lobster race's on the grass and then a meal made for Royalty. we have 8 family's and we are all bringing a pot luck entree or an appetizer to contribute to the feast and I mad dessert. Sheet Browns with chocolate icing and almonds, and Eatmore Bars! We are going to need to play some night games to work off all this food.

Boy versus Pop Can. . .Boy not the winner

Today was not a good day for Oakly. They say things happen in 3's well he has had 3. It all started last night at Football practice that ended with a trip to the emergency for an ex-ray on his thumb. He was in a huddle when one of the kids helmets landed on his left thumb and when he got up it didn't look so good. We went to the emergency for the ex-ray and it turns out that it is a really gross looking sprain, with a nasty bruise. That was last night and then today, well that's another story.
Oakly had a dentist appointment for 2 fillings and a mold for an appliance. The bottom mold went great, it wasn't until they put the top mold in, that Oakly's gag reflex kicked in. He ralphed his noodles all over the dentist chair and floor. He wasn't happy after that. He had to still get his 2 fillings done. The car ride home was quit, Oakly slept the whole way.
Tonight on the trampoline he was trying to teach a pop can a front flip, when he collided with the butt end and the can came out the winner. He split his forehead open and the goose egg appeared right away. No trip the emergency and the butterfly was not necessary. YAY!
I am sure his 3 things are done for the month, and it would be okay if it was done for the summer.
The girls had a fun day at kids camp. It was Beach Day and a perfect day for that. Tomorrow they have Alien Day and then for Thursday they are doing a Rock Band theme.

another win and new fans

Oakly had another win tonight and the game was great. He did fantastic. Final score was 19-0.
His new fans lasted until the intermission, then Wayne and Gail took all the kids home. It was a holiday to watch the second half of the game alone. Nobody to ask " Is it done yet?", "How much longer." I took my camera and got some great shots. He is #83. The new fans are also a cute little addition.

YAY! They made it to our house and we are so excited:) We broke them into the yard fast. The boys took off for a quad ride. The moms and the kids went for a walk to the post office and the treat store and then to the grocery store.

Gail bathed Kayden and then he was under orders to cuddle with Aspen when he told her that he needed to go see mommy. We got a phone call from Grandma asking if we were missing a little boy. Kayden was on his way up the Tree house Stairs. Gail had to carry him in the house, and he wasn't too happy.

They are all ready for bed and, just Chillaxing! (Tods word for chillin' and relaxing)

Oakly is at Football practice getting ready for tomorrows game. I am hoping I remember my camera for some great pictures of him.

on my own

I am on my own starting tomorrow for 2 days of running. UGH! It will be a test.
The sun is shinning today and I am hoping to enjoy some of it this afternoon if I can get more of my basement done, or completely done would be great.:0

it's Tuesday! :)

It is Tuesday and nothing crazy happened so far. Although at 3:30 am the doorbell rang, and I am not sure why. I got up and checked everything and nothing was out of the ordinary. I don't understand!!
I was up at quarter to 7 to go for my 5k run and all though the rain was cold to start with I peeled off 2 layers and was sweating. My legs are hurting to day and without Keri to push me along I am not sure if I would be able to have made it this week. It helps to have someone count on you to go with so I can't jam out. I feel so good for the rest of the day.
I have been looking into getting family picture's done, because it has been 2 years and I want something new and cool so I got in contact with a girl I went to school with and she has a great website and her picture's are so cute http://cayleesecretanphotography.com/index2.php?v=v1 I am hoping to book her to come out and do some cool new funky things with my family pictures.
I am off to my basement more decluttering and organizing. :) Can't wait to be done!

Foootball Win!

Well yesterday was the first Football game for the season. We walked away with a win 20-18. :) Oakly is playing Outside Line Backer, and taking to his position very well. He had a quarter back sack in the second play of the game, he blocked an extra point kick and then he stopped a trick play for a 15 yard loss. Every time he gets on the field he understands the game more and tries his position a little more.
The girls are liking football for the simple fact that it is outside and the playground is very enticing, it doesn't hurt that the weather was in the low 30's for the day and so it was fun to hang around with friends and play.
Grandpa and Grandma Pharis came for the first game and although Grandma didn't understand a lick of what was going on she was a good sport about cheering. After the game we went out for pizza and lots of water, to replenish from the heat.
Last night we were out on the deck just hanging until just after 9:00, and then the wind came up and we were running around putting down umbrellas and a fire at Dean and Keri's. I heard a crash and looked over to see there umbrella and table tipped over. I was on my way over and noticed that their were sparks jumping on the ground. The wind had stirred the fire just enough to get sparks and blow them around the yard. We grabbed the water hose and put the fire out. The Waters' didn't need to lose another house. The thunder and lightening set in for the next few hours and with it it brought rain, that the grass and garden needed.

i don't like tuesday's

well today it was another tuesday morning and as i put on my runners hat, too go out and enjoy the sun, i noticed that there was water by the fridge so i cleaned it up. when i returned from my run there was more water on the floor, so i cleaned that up and opened the fridge to find that the fridge was warm. so i, with much hesitation, opened the freezer to find melted ice cream and thawed strawberries dripping down the freezer. i emptied the fridge and put a message in to the repair guy. i then had to take buddy to the groomers. when i was gone grampa p. brought over the fridge from the garage. the kids packed all the food to the garage and i washed out the fridge. the repair man came plugged the fridge back in and told me to not touch it. he came back later this evening and wasn't sure of what the problem was, so for know we are just waiting to see what happens with the fridge in the next day or so. so my many hat's today are crazy!! it has been one week from when i awoke to buddies sh** all over the house. so know i am calling off all tuesdays until school starts.
as for the kids they were great. aspen and avery played well together tonight and helped me clean the post office. oakly went to his first football practice today and according to his dad he rocked. so now we have entered the football season of practices monday to friday 6:30-8:30, and practice games on saturdays.
i'm hoping i have no surprises tomorrow!!
